Fondis
Fondis is a quality manufacturer and supply several climate control systems from 550w up to 2500w and in differing configurations from “slide in” wall mounted models, to integrated and larger split systems. These models are fully imported from France and carry a 2 year guarantee. Fondis have just released two new models which are the quietest on the market and have many new features.
We provide a description of the various configurations below:
Fondis “Slide in” systems: These simply slide into a hole in the wall between your cellar and a well ventilated area behind, which means that much of the unit is hidden in the wall. They plug into a standard power point, and are very easy to install.
Fondis Integrated systems: These models are designed to be effective in a situation where a climate control system cannot be placed through the wall. Cooling air is passed through the unit via a pipe, and this makes them particularly suitable where the cellar is internal in the dwelling or perhaps below ground.
Fondis Split systems: This model is only available in larger a larger size, and are supplied in two parts, each connected by pipes in a similar way to standard split systems. They are designed for large underground or internal cellars where there is difficulty with the disposal of heat.
Fondis Integrated Cellar Door: The Fondis PC15 is an attractive insulated door which carries a small built in cooling system. It is designed for cellars up to 15 Cubic metres, and one of the features is that it re-evaporates its own condensate. This is the answer in a situation where the cellar is internal. Simply remove your door and replace it with this one.
Fondis Humidifier: In locations where humidity is reasonable high, Fondis units will, if properly installed in a correctly insulated cellar, maintain acceptable humidity levels. The Fondis Humidifier is a small unit designed to boost humidity in dry areas.
